Orphaned children from Haiti will be allowed to enter the U.S. temporarily on a case-by-case basis to ensure they received proper care, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State announced Monday.

"We are committed to doing everything we can to help reunite families in Haiti during this very difficult time," DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said in a statement. "While we remain focused on family reunification in Haiti, authorizing the use of humanitarian parole for orphans who are

The time has come to make Haiti a U.S. territory.
The U.S. occupied Haiti from 1915 - 1934, and the nation was relatively stable during that time period.
Haiti is incapable of self-gov't, millions of dollars in aid is not working, and I for one do not want Haitians to be allowed amnesty into the U.S.
The most logical option is short-term U.S. rule. Let Jeb Bush create a special task-force to create a government in that country, followed by territory status and free elections thereafter.
Allow private enterprise to rebuild Haiti. Drill for oil and gas off the coast because I know that Haiti has tons of it. Bring about free market policies and with tourism, Haiti will be prosperous as it was under French rule.

I hope they end up being as productive as the Haitian refugees I encountered while our ship was in Guantanamo for a month.

I took my hat off to those folks. They did more work for us during that month than I saw in home port of Little Creek, Va for 3 years. The quality of work was excellent as well.
