How Did the Boston Globe Know Who Won The Election 8 Hours Before Voting Stopped?
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^

Posted on 01/19/2010 11:13:36 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

Earlier today, I published a YouTube video that showed a woman handing out blank absentee forms. It was a sign that something fishy may be going on in Massachusetts.

Well, in the last hour or so, more reports have surfaced that should be reason for concern. Election Journal reports, for instance, that “reports are pouring in from across the city of Boston that Martha Coakley signs have been placed inside the 150 foot buffer zone mandated by Commonwealth law.” Watch the video at Election Journal.

That’s bad, but it’s not nearly as troubling as this article: it appears that the Boston Globe published the results of today’s elections, while people were still voting. The Bostonist logically wonders whether the Globe is ”rigging this election? Did somebody hack its data feeds? Are we dreaming? WHAT IS GOING ON?”

I'm sure it was test that somebody accidentally published.

This is not the first time this has happened, and incompetence is a more likely explanation than conspiracy.

Never attribute to villainy that which can be easily explained by simple incompetence.

Until further evidence of a conspiracy surfaces, it is logical to assume that they were just testing their system. It would’ve been a good idea for them to use better numbers to test, to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

Apparently it was just "test data" on the site. But that still begs a few questions --

With Brown ahead in virtually all polls, why did the "test data" show Coakley winning? Is that wishful thinking on the Globe's part?

Why doesn't the site have a disclaimer that says "TEST DATA" if the site contains "test data"?

Couldn't they use "test data" like 25 votes for Brown and 25 votes for Coakley, with 100% of precincts reporting? Why isn't that a good test?

All of this feeds into the well known fear that US elections are tainted and that the results are determined by the counters and not the voters. The Leftist media shows its arrogance by not being sensitive to this fear.

In liberal bastions, such as Boston, “incompetence” is a “conspiracy”!

It had to have been a test...I mean come on look at the data:

50%

49%

1%

Seems too neat to me...

omg, listen to the voice of denial trying to sound like reason.

How much more freaking evidence do you need to understand that nothing is beneath the lust for power?

As if the left never stole an election? As if there was such a thing as an honest election in Boston, where a mayor was once "elected" while sitting in a jail cell.

Denial springs eternal. That should be a tagline.

Dewey defeats Truman!

If the results tomorrow look exactly like the map you posted, then we’ll talk.

Is handing out blank absentee forms illegal?

Of course. They have to fill in their 'data' columns with something to test their formulas, so why not with what they'd like to see...?

How can you say definitively that an election was rigged before the result comes out? It seems that your response is rigged. If and when Brown wins, you’ll look like a fool.

Paranoia springs eternal.

Also, up until a week ago, the election was considered a forgone conclusion. The Democrat machine had no reason to prepare for an election theft — which, I would imagine, would take more than a week to orchestrate.

If you witness a problem and it is not resolved immediatly by the local poll warden call the police/or Secretary of Commonwealth’s Elections Division at 617-727-2828 or 1-800-462-8683.

As much as I am inclined to see Democrat villainy behind every tree, this smacks too much of the same boneheaded mistake the Chicago Tribune made back in 1948, when they mistakenly released the versions of the paper that had the headline "Dewey Beats Truman" instead of the correct version wherein Truman beat Dewey:

Because the act of a major media outlet calling it before it is over is an act of propaganda -- a tool of election rigging.

Wake me when you have a real question.

Sounds to me like they already had something created, so if Coakley were to win, they could hit print and send it out instantly. Looks like someone forgot to let the printer operator know he wasn’t supposed to hit the print button.

I agree that no one should "definitively" say anything.

But we've seen stories in the last few days about the substantial number of dead people who are still registered to vote in MA. We've seen film of someone handing out absentee ballots on the street on the day of the election. The biggest media outlet is "testing their data" with results which go against virtually all of the recent polls.

I don't know about you, but I don't trust the media, and I don't trust the MA Democrat machine, and I don't trust ACORN.

Am I saying the election has any definite problem? No. But I'm trying to keep my eyes open.
