By May 2009, Americans began to lose confidence in Mr. Obama, and the god began to bleed. The numbers saying the country was on the wrong track crept back upward. Mr. Obama' public approval rating began its great decline, the most rapid of any first-year president, according to Gallup. The decline has been broad and deep; Mr. Obama has lost support nearly uniformly from men and women across all age groups and all incomes.
The most striking slump occurred with the white middle class, which bears the brunt of Mr. Obama's wildly irresponsible fiscal policies. White approval dropped from 60 percent to 39 percent, and among middle-income Americans, support declined from 65 percent to 46 percent. Independent voter support declined from 66 percent to 45 percent. Among those who attend church weekly, approval dropped from 60 percent to 42 percent, and there was an almost identical decline among married couples and those older than 65. This explains why Mr. Obama is attempting to pander to the middle class, without whose support he cannot be re-elected.
It's not hard to understand Mr. Obama's historic descent. After 100 days, Americans took the measure of the man in office and found him wanting. They saw his inexperience, his penchant for liberal ideology over common sense and his unprecedented drive to expand government controls over every aspect of American life. He pressed for more taxes, more regulations, greater federal control over the economy and increased dependence on Washington. He rammed through a $787 billion stimulus bill that was an off-budget wish list of congressional pork. He ran up more debt in the first month of his first budget than the federal government accrued in all of 2007. He promised the stimulus bill would limit unemployment to 8 percent; unemployment is now in double digits.

That about sums it up.
Lots of "saviors" have a tendancy after "death" to come back to life (clintoon for one).
"Chickens" are not to be counted this soon. It's too early.
I lived through Carter. And the damage Carter did to the USA in terms of the economy and ME relations haunts us to this day!
Our grand/children are going to be cleaning up the mess that 0bama is making until the day they’re as old and as grey as we are today!
Conservatives are going to spend the next DECADE cleaning up after this jerk...and he’s just ONE YEAR into it!!
We have 1,089 days to go. God only knows what will happen between now and 2012. 2010 may slow this trainwreck down, but it’s already well off the tracks...
You’re through, Obama. Resign and go back to hustling on the south side of Chicago.
Behold! A god who bleeds!
Carter gave me a 13.5% mortgage in 1980; plug that into your calculator. My wife and I tightened the belt, made extra house payments and got it paid off early.
I am now on the verge of retirement and Barry is not only going to destroy my 401k but I see him destroying my children and grandchildren’s future. It is one thing to mess with me but don’t touch my children or grandchildren.
I am passionate about stopping Barry and his Henchmen Harkin (D-IA) and Braley (D-IA).
Or "down there" as the case may be.
Hopefully, we'll swing the Legislative Brance over in November thereby minimizing the possible damage the clown can do until he's removed from office in 2012.
I don’t disagree at all with what you’re saying; however, I do see the hand of God (the REAL one) at work .... the release of the Climategate e-mails at the perfect time to take down the plans that were afoot in Copenhagen & the “miracle” of Sott Brown’s election, the mere fact of which has the Dems in disarray & may even have ‘killed the bill’. I also see the Tea Party movement as something akin to what our founding fathers undertook some centuries ago & I have no doubt that God was instrumental in founding this country (good book: George Washington’s Sacred Fire). I don’t recall The People fighting back against Carter in the way that we’re seeing resistance to Obama and his radical left policies - in that itself, I take hope ... the REAL hope, not the Obama ‘hopeium’ version!! May God continue to bless America.
What in the Sam Hill did people who voted for the man and are now discontent, think they were going to get??
They voted for ice cream and ended up with manure. Serves them right, just wish the rest of us didn’t have to suffer along just as hard with them because of O’s failed policies.
