How could anyone mistreat such a lovely kitten like her in such a sadistic manner?

A severely abused kitten named Mercy was put down Wednesday after doctors found her spine was broken.
"Her spine was just smashed," said Missoula Animal Control shelter attendant Barb Parker. "It only showed up on high resolution, but the vertebrae were just squished. He stomped her good and really hurt her back, so there was nothing to do."
The shelter adopted the kitten out only to see her returned this week after a brutal beating left her pelvis smashed and an eye filling with blood. The 4-month-old kitten's owner had allegedly tried to drown her in the toilet, and apparently had thrown the animal against the wall or stomped on its back, crushing the pelvis. Part of the cat's head was shaved.

I had to put down my 10-yr-old cat on Monday. She had a tumor near her heart. I felt very sad. She didn’t suffer very long, however.

There is a special inner circle there for people who do this to a total innocent.
The perp. should suffer the same fate as that he inflicted upon this helpless critter.

2 years ago this month I had to release my then 25-year old kitty Musica. It hurts as much now as it did then.
How we treat those weaker than ourselves—animals and humans—says everything about who we are.

The ‘Rainbow Bridge’ gets another resident.
And Hell will get another resident with his name engraved in molten steel on the door.
I volunteer at a no-kill shelter. We haven’t had anything this severe as far as abuse goes. If that day ever comes, may God have mercy on that person because I sure as hell won’t. I would do everything within my power to make sure his/her life is completely destroyed.
This is why the liberal mantra of “can’t we just all get along” will never work…..

Two weeks ago we had to put down our sweet little tortie point himalayan kitty Miss Betty due to renal failure.
We still cry and miss her so much. We have a few other kitties, but it still hurts.
