The article did not say who paid for this useless study. It sure wasn't the money of the researchers or authors, otherwise their amygdalas would've kicked in.

This is precisely the reason it is cheaper to use cash than even a debit card (which is not to say I don’t use a debit card ... just making the point).

Common sense tells you that it's stupid to pour money into something that has such a low probability of return.
