College students often tend to associate with people they meet in their freshman year. But there are classmates, roommates, and at least one professor who have come forward to say that they remember Obama.
Obama's roommates have remembered him including one who published his recollections in a Columbia alumni magazine. This roommate transferred with Obama from Occidental.
