I fully understand what ACORN is and why Obama wants to give them as much money as possible. I figure I know the truth of this as much as I need to.
But here's my serious question, because I really have no clue --
What is the theoretical reason why the US government should give 4 billion dollars to an organization called "ACORN"? I mean, what is ACORN supposed to be doing, and why is it considered reasonable that my tax dollars pay for that?
I really don't get it. To me, this is just a vote-buying, leftwing scam. But I'm sure there is some kind of excuse for it that they expect us to swallow. But 4 billion?
