We have seen the Twin Towers collapse hundreds of times on TV. The steel and glass skyscrapers exploding like a bag of flour, the dust and smoke pluming out across Manhattan. But never like this, from above. Nine years after the defining moment of the 21st century, a stunning set of photographs taken by New York Police helicopters forces us to look afresh at a catastrophe we assumed we knew so well.

The photos are jaw-dropping.
Thanks for the post.
This one reminds me of what a beautiful, clear, September morning it started off as, only to be forever marred by the spreading cancerous, murderous Islamofascists.
Thanks. Just what I need is a little infuriation in the morning.
I can't help but wonder if this kind of terrorism would exist if America didn't exist.

That September morning was a most spectacularly beautiful day until the horror.
I wonder why it took a Freedom of Information request to get these photos from the NYPD?
Foreigners: We don't need them.
I was appalled at most of the comments. The claim that Al Quaeda means Database?......that Bin Laden was on the US CIA payroll until September 2001, that he was created so that the US could get USSR out of Afghanistan.....that our government would perpetrate this against our own people....Bush couldn’t even take a ride on a Segway without being crucified by the press, you think something like 9/11 would stay a secret?
Maybe in the immediate aftermath of the event. But not since then, unless you went out of your way to view the archive footage. I wonder why these pictures weren't released at the time we were going to war or at one of the many times in the last nine years when the the Libs wanted to undermine the war effort.
A holocaust?
Sorry AA. I did a search on the title fo the thread. Nothing came up.
No need to apologize as my comment wasn’t intended for you and your post isn’t a duplicate.
