Searchers in La Crosse have pulled a body from the Mississippi River near where a college student disappeared a few days earlier.
The La Crosse Tribune reported that police have not confirmed the identity of the body, which was pulled from the river just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. But the spot is very close to where they believe Craig Meyers fell into the river early Sunday.

I have an alibi.
What would make you say that?
*sigh* Nope, just another drunken young man, stumbling into the river.
fits the m.o.
What is this, the 57th or so midwest college student that went to a bar, got drunk and ended up dead in a river?
ROFL!
There should be a safety net over the river. If it was corporately owned, it would be required...

The smiley face murder theory was discussed just two nights ago on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.

I lived right off of the Mississippi River Gorge in Minneapolis for a few years. We had fun with picnics on the white sand beach under the Lake Street Bridge. I wouldn’t recommend the area after dark.
Drop offs on the cliff area are pretty serious. Guess that’s why they call it a gorge.
Have wondered if this there is not a 'jihad' at work here. Think about it; not to mention the locations. . .
