Yup, they don’t mind getting soldiers killed one bit, after all, 90% of them come from conservative families. They just complain until they get in power, then the concern goes away...

That’s right - Vietnam was a good example of a Dem war, politically motivated, micro managed, impossible ROEs, Democrats love any war that damages the image of the US as the lone imperial superpower and they love anything the hurts the military ,who of course they loathe
Except for the two Gulf wars, every war the US has been involved in in the last 100 years has started under a Rat president.
