OK do you really think because he owns 7% of News Corp he now sits in on production meetings? Murdoch only holds 29.5% of the company.
Murdoch had to fight hard to avoid a 2004 hostile takeover attempt. That Saudi 7% is enough to control whether another hostile takeover succeeds or fails. This puts that Saudi prince in a position of having a LOT of control over what happens at Fox.
