Why don’t the Japanese fish, whale and “research” in their own waters? Have they mismanaged their own commercial fisheries - or what’s the problem at home?
Why aren't they free to do those things in international waters as long as they aren't breaking any laws and they aren't? If you propose that they are breaking international laws, then you must believe in the validity of international laws.
