why?

G Will was one of the largest Cheerleaders for Obama in 2008, now he is to be listened to?

Where is the accountability for being a VichyRepublican?

Obama dines with George Will

http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obama/1376683,obama-dines-george-will-011309.article

January 13, 2009

BY ABDON M. PALLASCH Political Reporter
Talk about “reaching out.”

President-elect Barack Obama held an unannounced dinner Tuesday night at the $19 million home of conservative columnist George Will, according to a pool report.

Two other conservative columnists — William Kristol and the New York Times’ David Brooks — also were spotted there, the report said.

I'm not sure which George Wll you are speaking of, but his CPAC speech was a conservative tour de force. It was an example of the right way to give a speech.

I have no recollection of George Will being a cheerleader for Ozero. Ever. At any time. Do you have any links, evidence.

His speech is excellent, by the way.

...and a tireless, prissy slammer of Palin. Still.

Will also said at a speech at CPAC two years ago at the Reagan Banquet that conservatives must accept the fact that the illegal aliens are not going home. He was roundly booed for two minutes, which made him look like a deer in the headlights. Will has lived too long inside the Beltway.

Will should stick to penning books about Baseball and attend Inside the Beltway cocktail parties..

I think you have George Will confused with Peggy Noonan.

I have had my disagreements with GW in the past, but this was a great speech. I may even share it on Facebook.

Simply google Vichy Republican, there is a list here on FR, it has spread, Will is not as Beltway as David Frum and his “project for whatever” but still, he was the most painful convert to Obamaoism.

And do not get me started on Peggy Noonan.

Remember Remember.

Thanks, padre. Our institutional memory helps keep us grounded, even if an isolated speech is good.

I remember you Clemenza, and no, I’m not confused, that is why I started the Vichy Republican list during and after Election 2008.

People too soon no longer remember, I recall quite vividly, the only inside the Beltway type that did not A. support Obamao B. did not stick the knife in Gov Palin’s back was C Krauthammer.

And Britt Hume of course, but Krauthammer surprised me, and I gained a ton of respect for him when he passed on the chance to stab Palin ala et tu Brutus.

I remember because I was at that banquet. I am listening to the speech. I bet he doesn’t mention immigration, which is driving or affecting every major existential challenge facing this nation.

McCain Loses His Head

By George F. Will
Tuesday, September 23, 2008

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/22/AR2008092202583.html

It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?

Sarah Palin and the mutual loathing society

By George F. Will
Thursday, February 18, 2010

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/17/AR2010021703507.html

Yet Sarah Palin, who with 17 months remaining in her single term as Alaska’s governor quit the only serious office she has ever held, is obsessively discussed as a possible candidate in 2012. Why? She is not going to be president and will not be the Republican nominee unless the party wants to lose at least 44 states.

Conservatives, who rightly respect markets as generally reliable gauges of consumer preferences, should notice that the political market is speaking clearly: The more attention Palin receives, the fewer Americans consider her presidential timber. The latest Post-ABC News poll shows that 71 percent of Americans — including 52 percent of Republicans — think she is not qualified to be president.

I like George Will, and that is not lip service, however he never, and I do mean never, recanted his support for Obama either tacitly or overtly.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2116099/posts

Now Colin Powell of all people is also dispensing advice?

Grrr...the same man who supported the party of “this war is lost” is now giving out advice?

The outright gall of them.
