Shortly after winning their endorsement, Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress, sat down for an interview with the Political Action Committee, Citizens Opposing Incumbency. Here is the second part of the transcript from Will's conversation with the group's Executive Director Jeff Monks. The entire interview will be made available on the COI-PAC website (www.coipac.org) later this week. COI: You're best known as a soldier. However, your day job is as an airplane pilot. Do the two share common themes that would make you a good representative?

Breazeale: The big thing is trust and responsibility. Both when I was in Iraq and when I'm flying the friendly skies, people are putting their trust in me that I will be responsible. The battlefield and the skies are much the same. There is zero room for error. Let your guard down for a second and someone could get seriously hurt. Being a representative is much the same thing. People put trust in you to be responsible with trillions of dollars, their safety, and so on. Again, one bad move and you could have some dire consequences as we've seen the past 14 months.

COI: I've heard your radio appearances. Border enforcement is a big deal for you. Why is it something you are so focused on?

Breazeale: I think a lot of our nation's problems come back to the idea that we haven't secured the border. One-tenth of our nations workforce is illegal. Ten percent of the people in this country are out of a job. You do the math. I can't stand the thoughts of law abiding citizens being out of a job while cheaters line their pocket books.

COI: It's also a safety issue, right?

Breazeale: Of course. Border enforcement is a lot bigger than illegals sneaking across the border for a 10 dollar per hour job. It's about the dangerous thugs and criminals that are coming across. Their armed to the hilt. They want to do damage and harm to Americans. It's really sad that politicians would rather play politics with the issue than worry about keeping their constituents safe.

COI: Your presumed primary opponent Ilario Pantano has been very vague on the issue, calling it complicated. Are you prepared to hold him accountable on that?

Breazeale: It's not up to me to hold him accountable. It's up to Republicans who vote in May to hold him accountable. I think he's going to have a very hard time explaining to all those good folks who have lost jobs to illegal immigrants what's so complicated about putting a permanent stop to amnesty. But ultimately that's his job to make his case. All I can do is promise that when I'm elected to office, border enforcement becomes an immediate priority.

COI: We took an interest in you because you were the first man in the country to sign the "Bonded Term Limit" Pledge. Explain what it is and why you did it.

Breazeale: Again Jeff, it's about trust and responsibility. Money seems to be the only thing that drives these guys who become career politicians. I vowed that would never be me. So to prove how serious I was, I backed up my promise to myself and my constituents with cold hard cash. I have bonded $250,000 of personal wealth to the idea that I will not be a career politician. I will serve no more than three terms in the U.S. House. If I go for a fourth term, I'd lose a quarter of a million dollars. Three terms and then I'm flying back to the friendly skies.

COI: You've racked some very high profile endorsements. Pat McCrory, Chad Adams on a state level. Duncan Hunter, John Linder nationally. Why are endorsements such a big deal?

Breazeale: Endorsements are important, but they aren't an end game. At the end of the day I think most people vote for a person on their merits, not because someone else tells you too. But when you have men like the ones you listed throwing their support behind you I think it says two things: One is that they believe in you as a person. That what I've done as a human being, as a soldier, a pilot, all that stuff has spoken to them. It also shows that they have faith in our campaign. They see the staff we have in place, the boots on the ground, the bulldog mentality of our team, and they believe we can and will win against Mike McIntyre this Fall.

COI: You ever picture what election night is going to be like this November?

Breazeale: Every day Jeff. I see it. And the vision gets a little more clear each day. This country has awakened from almost 25 years of slumber. People haven't been this fired up on our side since the days of the Reagan Revolution. I think we are headed towards historic wins this November and I cannot wait to have my name listed amongst the many others than helped take back the House of Representatives for the American People.

COI: Will, thanks for your time and we at COI wish you the best of luck.

Breazeale: Jeff, it's been a real honor to have your endorsement and your support. You guys are all about what I'm all about: Elimination of the career politician. Keep up the good work.
