I wonder if Bernie Sanders is aware that the "science" of AGW is far from settled? First of all, there is no scientific method in the fraudulent finding of AGW. Bernie looks to be another dreg with a disordered mind; unfortunately for all of us he is a Senator.

It makes the capitalists at best misguided humanitarians, at worst mendacious profiteers (in the only sense that term makes sense, i.e. when people use means other than the whimsy of the consumer to gain profits).
By the way, I use “capitalist” in a different sense than “believers in the free market order,” or, “owners” of the means of production.” I use it in the less determinent Marx(who coined the term, after all)ist sense of the government within a society ruled by people who live under a system in which the means of production are (mostly) owned privately. I use it in the sense that our government is “capitalist,” because it rules over a vaguely capitalist society. In that sense, the Soviet leaders were capitalist in the same sense that our government is. That is, they lived off capitalists, even if they did not produce wealth through the market themselves.
In short, our government steals money from our capitalists and passes it on to the communists. Or our capitalists invest in the communist nation more directly. Either way, Soviet leaders are thriving off the capitalist system (either by living high on the hog or by solidifying their rule by preventing their own system from utterly collapsing). That, in my opinion, makes them at heart capitalists.
Or, again, at least as capitalist as Uncle Sam. Who no matter how many burdens he lays on the back of capital, nor how many poisonous words they cast down on the Evil Capitalists, yet desperately depends on them for money. And I mean desperately! Washington wants Wall Street to succeed, above all else, in order to hold onto their power. If they are ignorant of the fact that their power is precisely what stands in the way of the capitalists’ success, it is because knowledge of that fact would destroy them.

I wouldn’t say they knew they were capitalists. They probably figured the arrangement was temporary, if they were doctrinaire. If they were regular-old politicians (evil, yes, but so because of the place and time; not totally unlike politicians in other countries), maybe they don’t care very much what Lenin said. Any more than contemporary American politicians sit around wondering What Would George Washington Do?
By the way, even Lenin adjusted to the situation with the NEP. Oh, and when I split the leadership into ideologues and generic politicians, of course, I leave out a third class. Let’s call them common criminals. To see who they are, read the chapter on (paraphrasing) “Why the Worst Get to the Top” in “The Road to Serfdom”.
It’s pretty obvious that the most vehement global warmists are also socialists,
and that all the solutions to AGW just happen to be the same goals that the socialists have had all along.
