Host vs. Host: Limbaugh, Levin Pummel Beck
The Atlantic Wire ^ | 02/24/10 | Jake Simpson

Posted on 02/24/2010 12:59:45 PM PST by writer33

Virtually unknown a year ago, Glenn Beck has rapidly risen to the top of the right-wing punditocracy. Witness his keynote address at CPAC, where the Fox News titan assailed Republicans and Democrats alike and called for a return to bedrock conservative values. Though conservatives bloggers were nonplussed by Beck's attacks on the right, most praised at least some elements of his speech.

Nothing remotely resembling what the writer here claimed. He simply said he would’ve given the CPAC speech Beck gave.

I do not trust Beck. I trust Rush.

Now is not the time to be hitting the GOP, we need to focus on the common enemy, the Democrats.

Beck's attacks only gave fuel to a 3rd Party movement, which would only help Obama.

I listen to Rush regularly. If he said anything about Beck at all, I missed it. Considering the source, and considering that the lib-O-gressives are terrified of Palin and Beck, they’re probably in their normal lying mode.

The CPAC Beck addresses wasn’t even purely Conservative. Didn’t they give the ACLU a booth? GOPride a speaking invitation?

Agreed. And now Beck is paying for those attacks in the media.

I think Rush, Levin, and Beck would all have a good laugh about this together if you could get all three of the on the phone

I have never heard any one of them be anything other than gracious to FRIEND or FOE in the political arena.

Rush never mentioned Beck by name at any time during his broadcast yesterday or today.

I caught the show Monday...I think it was Monday and Rush specifically said he doesn’t comment on what other hosts do or say...it is his policy. He then said something close to, “his, (Beck’s) speech wasn’t what he would have said or did say at last year’s CPAC. Rush did NOT “pummel” Beck...what a joke.

Yes, we should be hitting them, they need to have conservative candidates, not the Rinos they’ve been running.

The Republicans got away from conservatives values, they acted like Democrats with government spending, they just didn’t raise taxes to pay for it.

We need candidates that are going to lower taxes, decrease spending, and follow the Constitution.

Recent Republicans have not done that...

I love Rush but the truth is that he needs to understand that for all the years he hated McCain, he never told people not to vote for McCain. After all its about principle, or is it?

Why is Beck flamed? Look, all of these guys are working for the same goal and have to operate within the confines of what they can do.

They all need to kiss and make up. The commies are on the run.

Rush was being a complete jerk today. Every ten minutes, the basketball buzzer goes off and he says something about the Republicans sucking. All the while he was maintaining that he wasn’t mocking GB.

Rush never pummeled Beck. The writer of the article is trying to create a cat fight where none exists.

Levin went after Beck, big time. But Rush doesn't go after other radio talk show hosts.

The most I heard Rush say was something like this: saying that there's no difference between Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi, nor between Harry Reid and Jim DeMint is just plain silly.

I agree, he did not. I also think they should kiss and make up, the commies are on defense. Lets not spoil it.

I found Rush's bit today, periodically interrupting clips with the “there's no difference between Democrats & Republicans” quite clever. The person e-mailing him that his show was being hacked was truly funny.

What did Rush say?

Nothing really, the media is trying to start a war. A lot of people are reading in the media that there is a war going on between them when there isn't.
