If Planned Parenthood Were Toyota

Were it not for double standards, the gummint would have no standards at all.

As you probably have heard by now, President and CEO of Toyota Corp., Akio Toyoda was dragged before Congress this week to explain why his company did not do more to address critical safety issues with their vehicles that resulted in several deaths.

Vehicle safety is surely an important issue and we expect companies, when they become aware of these issues, to deal with them promptly and effectively. Lives depend on it.

It was in this context that Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio) addressed Mr Toyoda saying...

“I am not satisfied with your testimony,” she said. “I do not feel it reflects sufficient remorse for those who have died, and I do not think you have accurately reflected the large number of complaints that have been filed for more than a decade.”

“Where is the remorse?”

Where is the remorse? It is a very good question. What may have been missed during the overwhelming media coverage of Toyota’s failing is the much greater health threat posed by the abortion industry.

Just this week the story broke about an abortion clinic in Philly where investigators discovered aborted fetuses preserved in jars and blood on the floor. What you may not know is how the jars and fetuses were discovered.

On November 20th of last year, a woman died from a botched abortion at Dr. Kermit Baron Gosnell’s clinic. That death from abortion did not send up the red flags so much as did the illegal painkillers that were found in her system. Death by abortion obviously does not raise concerns.

The doctor in this case has an extremely checkered past and has injured many more women prior to this terrible case.

Death is one thing, continued illegal activity is another. One might expect that proof of illegal activity at abortion clinics might be enough to trigger investigations and at least a little outrage. You would be wrong.

A young pro-life activist named Lila Rose has used a hidden camera and YouTube to expose repeated violations of the law by Planned Parenthood. To date, there have been no calls on the national level for investigation and there are likely none forthcoming.

The truth is, many more people have died from ‘legal’ abortion than have been killed by faulty Toyota vehicles. The number of women injured by abortion, both psychologically and physically, dwarfs those injured by vehicle safety issues.

Studies have shown that abortion kills not only babies.

The Maternal Death Rate from Abortion is almost 3 times higher than the Death Rate from Childbirth, according to a 13-year population study of pregnancy-associated deaths [American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology].

The study found that the mortality rate associated with abortion is 2.95 times that of the mortality rate associated with pregnancies carried to term.

Put another way: the maternal mortality rate associated with abortion is 195% higher than the maternal mortality rate associated with pregnancies carried to term. The study included the entire population of women 15-49 years of age in Finland, 1987-2000. The researchers linked birth and abortion records to death certificates. The annual death rate of women who had abortions in the previous year was 46% higher than that of non-pregnant women…

Women who carried to term had a significantly lower death rate than non-pregnant women.

Non-pregnant women had 57.0 deaths per 100,000, compared to 28.2 for women who carried to term, 51.9 for women who miscarried, and 83.1 for women who had abortions.

So I ask you Rep. Kaptur and all the other members of Congress, where are the hearings? Where are the investigations? Where is the remorse?

How many women and girls have died from botched LEGAL abortions since 1973?

Planned Parenthood pretends the answer is nil.

Brilliant article. Thanks for posting. We won’t be hearing about a lot of remorse over women injured by Planned Parenthood and their colluders in Congress. Congress knows they are culpable, because they fund this organization. They don’t fund Toyota.

This makes me sick just to even consider it.

Jesus said it, Forgive them, they know not what they do.

The killing station in our area prints on its web site that it is far safer to have an abortion than to give birth. They have a list of phony statistics to accompany that claim, and they emphasize this point to the gullible women there for abortions.

That is sad. I have a friend who is pregnant and she has her ultrasound picture as her profile picture, it looks like she is playing peek-a-boo.
