(CNN) -- Political, religious and sexual behaviors may be reflections of intelligence, a new study finds.
Evolutionary psychologist Satoshi Kanazawa at the the London School of Economics and Political Science correlated data on these behaviors with IQ from a large national U.S. sample and found that, on average, people who identified as liberal and atheist had higher IQs. This applied also to sexual exclusivity in men, but not in women. The findings will be published in the March 2010 issue of Social Psychology Quarterly.
The IQ differences, while statistically significant, are not stunning -- on the order of 6 to 11 points -- and the data should not be used to stereotype or make assumptions about people, experts say. But they show how certain patterns of identifying with particular ideologies develop, and how some people's behaviors come to be.

Sure, I didn’t read the article, I get a rash when I read CNN, but they likely concluded Conservatives are way smarter than the liberal dunderheads.

I have an IQ much higher than the average person and I have examined the evidence and have concluded that atheism cannot be supported logically. I have also concluded that socialism, a system of government that has failed EVERYWHERE it has been tried, is unlikely to work in the United States. And for “male sexual exclusivity”, WTH is that?

BS - statistical significance is not obtained until the point differentiation reaches above 11 points. Someone is trying to use statistics improperly. Remember, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics!!!!!

Memo to CNN: If you want people to actually believe this tripe, you might find it in your best interest to never broadcast Sen. Barney Frank speaking again. He kind of blows holes in your smart liberal gay man theory.
Makes some sense. Perhaps a high IQ leads to pride/arrogance, and thus is more likely to lead to the belief that you know what is best for yourself (atheism at its core) and for everyone else (liberalism at its core).
