No doubt that in today’s media rich environment, good ol’ Abe would take to the airwaves too.

That’s right. Abe loved hearing homely, humerous anecdotes almost as much as telling them. His laugh was described as a high-pitched `Hee hee hee!’ He had a good sense of humor. Seward and others in is cabinet looked down their noses at it, `eff `em if they can’t take a joke. Then and now.
