And yes, like 'full serve' gas stations where sadly, only a 'few' survive; they will not.
The old 'use it; or lose it' - and liking to at least contribute to keeping people employed; I try to 'use' it, locally.
Between Time Warner on-demand and iTunes I’m covered.
I’m sure the employees who get a paycheck from BB feel the same way. /s
Them and CVS.
that’s 2 of us...
Well, it is kinda like the folks who run the red light ticket companies out of Arizona... or the meter maid cruising around to lift money from a dummy in a car lot...
or a banker at Chase.... all crap jobs that all employees of should be shamed into quitting; and the last one out should turn out the lights... especially Block Buster... Especially Chase.
I saw a Blockbuster big Blue Box the other day. Looked like RedBox. Didn’t have time to check it out.
I remember when BB had netflix flyers on their checkout counter.
>>My public library has a vast selection of DVDs. You can reserve them over the internet.
Same here..except for the reserve part. 3 days but if it’s a long weekend, no such thing as late fees. Last time I was there with my little sister, it opened at 10 am, and people rushed in just to get the Star Trek DVD.
I can stream Netflix on my computer or tv through the ps3... it is awesome.
Bluebox? Interesting..copy the success template of the competitor. How Chi-com like.
Yeah, I agree. I worked at a small family-run video store back in the 90s and saw firsthand how they tried to keep their heads above water running that business. Back then, rental videos were purchased at about $80 a copy and at $2 a rental, well you can do the math. A customer who held on to a new release for weeks would kill the ability of that particular $80 copy to generate any revenue. We had so many copies just disappear never to return or they'd finally reappear after interest in the film waned and trying to collect even partial late fees was like pulling teeth. Most of the time it was chalked up as a loss. Eventually, with the advent of priced-to-buy DVDs released the same day as the rental VHS tapes, the family that ran the store threw in the towel and decided to close up shop. Yet Blockbuster were "bad guys" at the time for sending late fees to collection agencies.
I hate CVS. They bought Longs Drugs out and raised prices. In addition, they cut back on the number of products.
Me, too. And grab some Milk Duds, too.
I think the same thing when I drive by a K-Mart parking lot.
Why do you think CVS is going to go out of business?
Yup! They are known for charging late fees for any reason. Return on time and still get a late fee.
Walgreens has more employees at all hours.
CVS, in my last visit, had 2 employees.
Both, working in the pharmacy area. (very back of the the store.)
I bought some items and and a prescription.
As I left, the shoplifting alarm went off.
I returned to the very back of the store to correcect the alarm thingy.
They are losing inventory as well as business.
correct
