Every Blockbuster store that I know of in town (Boise, ID) has closed it’s doors. About 6 or 7 of them.

Locally they got killed by Hastings with cheaper rentals and more forgiving on late fees also books, music and coffee.

Netflix/Redbox was the nail in the coffin.

I’m sure there are a few left in town somewhere, just not in the areas I go.

Same here. We had one Blockbuster open up about three or four years ago, to go head-to-head with our local store (Movie Gallery - it's a small town). They went belly-up within a year. Netflix works out good for us - they ship the movies in our queue the day it's released, and it gets here from the local hub the next day. With our schedules, it's great not to have the pressure of trying to watch a rental within a day or two in order to avoid late fees.
