The elite in D.C. should understand we won’t cover for Mitt anymore then we did McCain. I certainly won’t persuade voters to choose him. And unlike last time, adding a conservative VP won’t cut it this time.
The elite is smarter than you think. They know that most conservatives (including most people on this site) DID cover for McCain in 2008 by voting for him. Those folks will do the same if Romney is the nominee in 2012. I don't like it but it is a simple fact. They will be "scared" into it as they were last time.
I still have a dull ache in the pit of my stomach thinking back to the trauma of voting for McCain. I won’t repeat that experience with a clone.
