One thing that did I found about Sarah Palin, is that because of her unique situation of rising throughout the ranks of political position is that she is not beholden to any special-interest groups, hardly anyone here on FR or the worst on DailyKos can connect any key group that backed her big time....basically she doesn’t have any ties to any corporate or lobbyist groups.

This is true. It's actually one of the stand-out features of her political career. She made it to Governor, and to VP nominee without ever having the backing of any moneyed interests or power brokers.

In fact, she was elected every step of the way, for precisely that reason. She was actually opposing special interest groups, corrupt political cabals, and major industry lobbies throughout her rise in Alaskan politics.

She is among that rarest breed of politicians: an honest citizen who only seeks to serve the people and the greater good. This is what people are responding to, and what the other politicians in the running couldn't fake if their lives depended on it. She's the genuine article, and they're not.

This is also what has the Democrat establishment sweating bullets in their sleep. They know for a fact that if Sarah Palin had been our nominee, they would have lost the election badly. She remains "the sum of all fears" for liberal Democrats and the RINO establishment.
