Except Mitt isn't an incumbent president. He isn't even a sitting governor. He's an ex-governor of a north-eastern liberal state who was responsible for instituting a socialized health care system, exactly like Obamacare. He's also known as a flip-flopper, which is a serious indictment of his character, and is the very thing that destroyed Bush Sr.'s second run for office.
In the end, the MSM, and the RINO establishment don't elect the president. The people do. If the RNC wants to give the White House back to Obama, then they can try to maneuver Mitt into the nominee position.
I'll just say this: they may be stupid, but they aren't crazy. If they're anything, they're political animals, and they know which way the wind is blowing. By 2012, there is no way on earth they'll be able to buck the will of the people any longer. The nominee will be who the people want.
My bet is that it will be Sarah Palin.
The weird thing about Romney’s “political career” is that he only won one election and he was drummed out of office with a totally failed, 34% approval rating and a Democrat replacement. That’s all he has to show for 17 years of campaigning and vast fortunes spent, yet he is portrayed as having a successful political background by the media.
