Fond is NOT the word I would choose. But I am accustomed to thinking in those terms. The existence of evil, as well as good, and the existence of the devil and the struggle between good and evil are foundational to the cultural traditions which shape my thinking. Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of symmetry.

Maybe you mean "moral equivalence" and if so, that is equally as wrong as what I pointed out above!!!
When someone collects enough capital to back an idea/concept to provide a needed whatever and tries to do it at a profit, it is neither moral, or even justified to ungreatfully collect a mob to collectively usurp a subjective "fair share" of those resources and profits until the host dies!!!
Rationalizing about moral equivalency or some possible "balance" between good and evil is dangerous to one's character, even though it's what's forced into young minds in our GovernMental institutionals of indoctrination!
This may explain why far too many end up in a GovernMental Union, believing like a religious EnvironMentalist in utter blastphemous nonsense called liberalism!!!
