Is Romney the new Reagan?

Gee, I just posted this about Mitt Romney and Reagan on a different thread.

Why do you think that he renounced the Republican party during the Reagan Revolution, re registered Republican in 1993 after Clinton defeated Reagan’s vice president and having voted for Paul Tsongas in the primary and funding and fund raising for Democrats, and then campaigned on the fact that he had NOT been a Reagan Republican, and did NOT want to return to Reagan-Bush?

Reagan was very ideological. He was a political idea man. First quite leftist during FDR. Then he went head to head with communists in Hollywood and then his fairly quick move to the right. He was very well read in political theory and political economy. Unlike Mitt.

Reagan became fixed on his principals. Mitt is always at flux. Reagan’s main goal was a better country through freedom. Mitt’s goal is the Presidency. Everything else is dumpible.
