Wish Teddy Roosevelt were in charge. I believe the problem would be solved pretty quickly. Oh, for a leader....
Time for another Obama speech....
I guess this is why the travel alert came out of the State Dept. earlier in the day.
This is an act of war by the druggies. We should respond accordingly. Running away just doesn’t cut it.
Juarez makes Compton look like some 1950s suburban middle-class enclave.
Before these kind of killings occur to us, you can rest assured that LOTS of bribery is going on. We can have NO IDEA what consequences those had for us.
THIS WILL NOT END WELL.
Those who are kind to the cruel are soon cruel to the kind.
And now from the Black House in DC
OThuga’s first, 2nd, 3rd and 4th
responses have been:
“Oh my.”
“Oh my.”
“Oh my.”
and
“Oh my. What an unpleasantry. What are my poll numbers today?”
Time for the BORDER SUMMIT.....
RIP.
Watch out Mexico... just you wait for our strongly-worded statement from the White House.

SUCH lovely people! They are just misunderstood terrorists.
US consulate workers killed in Mexico drug wars
[snip]Good article, btw.
According to the newspaper Diario de Juarez, gunmen chased the couples white van shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, shooting at the vehicle until it swerved out of control, crashing into oncoming traffic near the bridge.
Ms Enriquez, who was four months pregnant with the couples second child, was shot in the head, while her husband was shot in his neck and arm. When police officers arrived at the victims bullet-riddled Toyota van, they discovered the couples baby daughter crying disconsolately in the back seat, Diario de Juarez reported. At first the officers thought the seven-month-old girl had been wounded, but she was unharmed.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton extended her sympathy to the families of the victims and said Washington would continue to work with the Mexican government to bring drug traffickers to justice.
These appalling assaults on members of our own State Department family are, sadly, part of a growing tragedy besetting many communities in Mexico, said Mrs Clinton. Washington was committed to: work closely with the government of President Calderon to cripple the influence of trafficking organizations at work in Mexico, she said.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, wait. I thought the world was going to love us now.
See how long the cartels can last with no illegals going out, no tourists coming in, and no money or drugs moving through the border checkpoints. I know the border is a seive, but now sounds like a good time for National Guard manuevers...
Ping
It just seems like sheer bloody slaughter for its own sake. Any particular reason why this couple was targeted or were they just going for any handy consular employee?
These people were killed because and only because they are Americans. Whether anyone at the WHite House or State Dept wants to acknowledge it, in these murders, the US was attacked. The US must respond.
(what parents in their right mind would allow their child to go to Mexico on Spring Break?)
So, did Clinton call on “both sides” to exercise restraint?
