JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The husband of a Mandarin woman charged with battery on an 11-month-old boy she was babysitting told the Channel 4 Investigators that he doesn't believe the allegations, which police said are backed up by hidden-camera video.
The video was recorded on Tuesday in a Mandarin home. The next day, 53-year-old Jeannine Campbell was arrested. Thursday afternoon, Campbell was still in jail, but her husband, John, answered the door at their home. When asked if he had seen the video, he said he was still upset, and had not yet seen it, but probably would watch it at some point. Police said the video shows Campbell pushing the boy down, smacking him several times, and hitting him eight times. The boy's father installed the camera after noticing his son had a black eye.

You can’t expect others to raise your children for you. This is an extreme case for sure, but the point is - few people will care about your kids as much as their own parents, especially if their only loyalty is due to the fact they are getting money from you for it.
Same applies to teachers, by the way.
Choose carefully, people.

We almost wore our kid out taking her everywhere we went. Unless you really know someone leaving kids out of your sight is risky business.

Come on, give the poor hard working woman a break.
She’s a victim of...something and the baby probably cried in protest.
This is what happens in Britain where victims are the ones that are blamed and the perps go free. Soon to be the way of thinking everywhere including here
because we’re headed down the same sick path.
Sorry, but I’m just so sick of society these days.

While in New York a while back, I sat near a couple of “nannies” with two adorable little girls. The tone of voice one of the witches used when addressing her charge made my blood boil. These little girls were well behaved, but there wasn’t a shred of affection in the woman’s tone of voice.
I bet the parents would have been outraged had they heard that conversation.

I only watched the first episode -- of her grabbing the child (by his arms?) and flinging him across the room into the playpen.
If that were my child or grandchild, that clip alone would have put me in jail -- for breaking every bone in her body.

If I’d been those girls’ father I would’ve fired her on the spot and told her never to come back.

Slap? How about watching the back of her head exploding as the .357 slug entered her head between the eyes.

Hey, look at the bright side: Great living room furniture, wide screen TV, expensive vacations, new cars. The boss loves you when you work late like that. All you have to do is find some dimwit with a nice smile to take care of the little brat. /s

I cried watching this video and I’m just an everyday mother/grandmother... I can’t imagine being the parents. Someone said they would like to member of jury in trial to come, I’d hate that because I’d have to watch again, but I’d want to see justice for this most innocent little victim and his family for sure!!!
