"I am proud to support great grassroots candidates like Dr. Paul....
Because hes a federalist and he wants the states to have more say --
and as we respect the 10th Amendment in our Constitution,
he wants the states to have more say in a lot of these issues." ~~ Governor Sarah Palin.
Rand Paul is endorsed by:
- Sarah Palin
- Steve Forbes
- Dick Armey
- Gun Owners of America
- Concerned Women for America
there aren't enough Democrats to make up these gaps, so to be competitive, they will have to close their sizable deficits among independent voters
Yeah... running against Rand Paul, arguably the most independent/"Tea Party" GOP Senate candidate in this election cycle?
Sure. Lemme know how that turns out, Kentucky 'Rats.
Oh, and it'll probably help if you keep referring to independent-conservative Tea Party voters as "teabaggers". Real good marketing plan, Kos; keep at it.

I bet the apple hit the tree trunk several times on the way down.

I think the “truther” issue is the most pressing issue of the day, don’t you? I mean, there’s absolutely nothing else happening. Well, maybe his position on the Kennedy assassination.

Neither Ron Paul nor Rand Paul are "truthers", but of course you knew that already.
Rand Paul is a little more hawkish than Ron Paul in his support for the War in Afghanistan, and in his support for military tribunals at Gitmo.
Those are probably the biggest foreign policy differences between the two. Does that answer your question?

Should be fun, Rand Paul is a lock to be the Republican nominee, and his blend of constitutionalism will be at odds with the taste for .Gov bucks the bluegrass state has developed.
But either way, a Rand Paul victory will be a shot in the arm for Grassroots conservatism.

I used to work with the guy (Paul) back in the 90’s. Kind of a caspar milquetoast kind of guy as I remember him, although it’s been awhile and I didn’t see him all that often. I sorta remember that he had a hot wife though :)

Back in 1976, Congressman Ron Paul led the Texas delegation of the Ronald Reagan for President campaign at the Republican National Convention.
I should be very pleased to see Senator Rand Paul perform the same service on Sarah Palin's behalf in 2012.
