“What about the hundreds of programs and agencies Bush cut to more than offse that?”

Like his dancing through Africa to make Bono happy tour? That cost us $25 billion.

Bush was a liberal, big-spending, Pubbie. That’s a fact.

no that’s not a fact.

If Bush grew the government than show how Bush grew the number of government employees in relation to population.

you are brainwashed by the liberal media. the media fooled you . it wasn’t government growth but inflation, 2 wars ,military speding ,population growth.

how does it feel to be the puppet of liberals/marxists/democrats who control the media?

Bush nor Republicans did not grow the government.

If they did then show the numbers of government workers in relation to population before Bush and after Bush. And show a significant increase ok ? if you can’t then you make a fool of yourself .and that goes for the rest of you brainwashed puppets of the media who don’t understand that inflation is not government growth , that military spending for 2 wars is not government growth and so on.

You are so blinded by wanting to hate the GOP, the one thing that could stop the democrat/Marxists from turning the U.S. into a socialist state. wel enjoy living in a socialist state becaus you chose to not vote Republican or stayed home or bashed Republicans. just fyi all peoples in every fully socialist state have been starving skeletons and slaves of the government. Look up the killing fields of Cambodia to see what you have done with your lies.

Yeah, I guess if you’re inhumane and don’t
have a Christian or compassionate heart for
those in totally primitive and helpless 3rd
world nations, with dozens of thousands of
adults and children .. dying for want of the
simplest of remedies, it’s easy to scoff at
those who are humane and don’t easily turn
their backs on a plague of needless suffering
and death, if they can make a difference.

After all, it’s just thousands of strangers’
lives .. a million miles away from your
important concerns.

Pres. Bush made a difference for many millions
of people. I’ll always be grateful for his
relentless intrepidity and resolve in keeping
us safe from another terror attack here, among
so many other reasons.

You sleep easier with -0 in the White House?

Commentary: Bush saved 10 million lives

###

A legacy of President George W. Bush will be that he saved 10 million lives around the world.

His critics ignore it, but name another president about whom one can say that with such certainty. It is what historians will say a decade from now looking back. Not bad for a president who leaves office with the lowest approval rating in recent memory.

*snip*

Before Bush acted, the nation’s 43 million seniors did not have affordable access to prescription drugs (the most powerful tool a doctor has to prevent and treat disease) through the Medicare program. Today, because of George Bush, they do.

Initially, conservatives howled because the prescription drug initiative “cost too much.” Liberals hated it because it involved the markets and competition. But today, 23 million seniors live healthier lives, Medicare drug spending has been 20 percent to 30 percent less than predicted for each of the past two years and seniors overwhelmingly give the program enthusiastic reviews.

And, in addition, the program is highly redistributive — giving advantages the poorest, introducing preventive care to Medicare, encouraging electronic prescribing and introducing chronic disease management.
