Oh my: 62% want GOP to keep fighting ObamaCare

As previously noted, every single poll about this nightmare from now to November and beyond will be fraught with meaning and hyped to the skies as the true barometer of public sentiment about The Boondoggle That Saved America.

That said, I’m more than happy to hype this one. Shazam:

The poll finds that 62 percent want Congressional Republicans to keep challenging the bill, while 33 percent say they should not do so. Nearly nine in ten Republicans and two in three independents want the GOP to keep challenging. Even 41 percent of Democrats support continued challenges.

Americans are split about the fact that the bill largely lacked bipartisan support. Fifty percent said they were disappointed that the bill did not have support from both parties, while 44 percent said that it doesn’t matter…

This is what I've been saying. Keep up the fight.

If we win a majority in congress, but not a veto proof one. Vote for repeal anyway, and let him veto it. Then send it to him again and let him veto it again. The more times he vetos it, the more angrier the public will get which will cost the Democrats even more seats in more upcoming elections.

Could some be Rats who are super optimistic about Bummercare, think it’ll win the public’s love, and want the GOP to look like doofuses?

We could also starve the damn thing to death by cutting funding for the bill and IRS (oh my, would that mean we couldn’t keep those 17,000 new agents?)

Anyone hear of Ben Nelson’s “Viagra” amendment to the bill? He proposes giving Viagra to ex sex offenders (no such thing) If the Dems oppose it, the bill goes back to the House, if they agree, well.. talk about a catch-22. But, they started the dirty tricks, lets see them get around this one.

Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn proposed the “Viagra” amendment. It would prohibit the coverage of viagra use by convicted sex offenders. Don’t know where you got your story.

Tonight on O’Reilly they said they thought the first battle would be to fight the medicare funding reductions. That way you get all the democrats voting to decrease medicare funding. We know that they already have but most of the people do not know, yet.

Thank you for clearng that up. I heard it on the radio this afternoon, admist I got my names mixed up. The way the story was pit out, it sounded like the Dems would be caught in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation n matter which way they vote.

What I can’t understand is why are Republicans participating in this charade in the Senate tonight? The reconciliation process is not supposed to be used in this way. Why don’t Republicans boycott the whole d-— thing and call it what it is—a complete violation of the rules by a bunch of thugs? Why are they legitimizing the process by participating in it? Just don’t show up. If there isn’t a quorum, the Dems can’t carry out this travesty.

In addition to crashing the private insurance industry, forcing every
American to buy a health insurance plan, and loss of medical privacy ...

ObamaCare → Amnesty → 20 years of Progressive rule

Any Republican who doesn't see where this is all leading has their head in the sand.
