SNIPPET: "The European Union said Wednesday that it will ask the United States to pass on the personal data of people with U.S. bank accounts if the EU sets up a system of tracking suspected terrorists' finances.

The measure is part of a deal allowing the US to check European data for terrorist leads."

I understand the significance of what is being brokered, or at least I think I do.

What I cannot figure out is why this AP story is in Israel News. Any ideas?
