They really, truly are going to campaign on the idea that a raft of new federal health-care benefits is a money-saver, despite the glorious experiences of Medicare and RomneyCare and despite poll after poll showing that people expect costs to go up, not down.
We can crunch the numbers every which way, starting with the original sin of gaming the CBO estimates to lie about the program’s real pricetag, but it’s actually more useful to revisit that golden SNL skit parodying Obama’s joint presser with Hu Jintao. One line says it all: “I am noticing that each of your plans to save money involves spending even more money.”
That’s precisely the gut-level response most voters will have when they hear him talk like this, and it’s a huge reason why the polls on O-Care simply aren’t going to move that much before November. It scares me more that there are a good many people who will believe it.
That’s like saying America would have burned to the ground if he hadn’t smothered the flames with a trillion pounds of high explosives.
Because of this bill, the effects of bankruptcy will be masked for another 6 months or so.

Financially, morally, and spiritually.
The statement in itself is not necessarily absurd, there are times when a business must spend money to avoid going broke but in the context of which Biden spoke it certainly is absurd.

Since he refuses to release his transcripts, we can only guess. But it’s a fair inference Barack Obama has never taken a course in Econ 101. Moreover, his cabinet has the least private sector experience of any cabinet in the past century. Expecting him to be economically literate is perhaps as unfair as expecting a moron to understand the theory of relativity.
He literally does not understand that as government absorbs more of the pie, the pie grows less slowly or shrinks. Likewise, he has no concept that every dollar in visible taxes shrinks the size of the pie by 30 cents in lost output. He thinks it’s all about redistributing pie and that there’s not a dime’s worth of difference whether HE spends your money or you spend it yourself. And due to his arrogance (hard to say whether this comes from nature or nurture), he believes his judgment about how your money should be spent is superior to yours.
The person millions regarded as the messiah turns out to be a two-bit politician with grossly erroneous ideas about how the world works. This clown prince convinced nearly all the Democrats in Congress to leap off a cliff for him on health care reform. It will not be until voters turn in their ballots next fall that these delusional Democrats wake up and smell the coffee. Obama is the worst president and worst thing that has ever happened to their party.

The same one who counts all the new government hires as employed people when they should be counted as multiple unemployed in most cases. Each one sucks up the taxes from several taxpayers and in most cases do no productive work and in many cases are counter productive, why should they count as employed?
