That's just one small thing. How about the lavish Hawaiian retreats? The chartered Jets? The stretch limos? The extravagant hotels? Steele is living like a King on donor's money and showing no real results. Why should anyone give the RNC another dime to subsidize that?
Agreed, which is why I do not donate to either the national or state committees. My money goes to the candidate. When I see the Republican committees taking principled stands and reducing the size of government, I will be happy to contribute to them. And, of course, starting to live like we, the people, live.

That is exactly what the MSM will proclaim, loudly and at great length, if Steele goes before the election.
Nevertheless, I think that he has been horrible for the GOP in terms of missed opportunities to define the party as the party of small government, personal integrity and responsibility, opposition to socialism and to Obamacare in particular, and adherence to the Constitution. For all of this I think he should go.
If all you go on is the surface manifestations ~ to wit, the RNC paid for the attendance of people at a 'nekkid' girl show place where they showed whips and handcuffs ~ you might say something about "this kind of thing".
On the other hand if you remember Governor Ryan, and what "this kind of thing" was about the issue is no longer about "contributions".
Kyl is saying to me that he knows the most intimate details of that club and why the particular potential donors were taken to that club ~ reading between the lines they were ALL successful women and that club was their kind of place.
What he's saying to you is that men went to the club to oggle the nekkid girls.
No, far from it, this was an opening to the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transexual) community, and probably the "bondage" crowd within it, or linked to it.
One of the reasons to reach out to this crowd is, of course, for campaign funds, but also for votes. They saw what the Democrats did to Senator Craig and it wasn't pretty. That was the highest ranking GLBT in the Congress and the Democrats pushed him out like he was last Sunday's newspaper. Republicans let them.
We have something similar here. The lady staffer makes a push for GLBT money, which is certainly available, and the first people to strike were the DEMOCRATS.

Kyl knows what the place really was. He knows about the place in New York that snared Gov Ryan. The WarshDC GLBT community claims that Kyl is, in fact, one of them but he doesn't want to be "outed".
Well, that may be coming unless Kyl goes to bat for that lady staffer who got fired over this.
BTW, none of that reflects my own thoughts on having GLBT people inside the Republican party. I've argued frequently that we shouldn't be putting them in policy or ideology positions ~ which would certainly exclude Kyl from the Senate if, in fact, he is part of the GLBT community, but that's not to say we shouldn't take their money!
They know the Democrats are not their friends ~
Steele needs to go, not the low-ranking scapegoat.
Much worse than the sexy night club are the fake census mailings asking for money.

These guys are little late to the party. Many of us have had no confidence in steele for months.

Maybe WaPo is right, maybe not, but I smell a lying press.
Their editorial board imagines Republicans are too embarrassed by anything with a sexual cannotation to do anything but run screaming in horror right off the political battlefield.
It doesn't bother me that the RNC was trying to raise money from the GLBT crowd. The Democrats sure haven't done they any favors (their real issues extend far beyond gay marriage) for them, and have actually driven the handful of GLBT Republicans out of Congress!
Steele isn’t the problem, Republicans are the problem. Most of the ones running the party right now would put John McCain up for President again, just like they did last time. What will it take for them to learn. How about NOBODY sends them ANY CONTRIBUTIONS until they “get it!”
