What happens in the coming days might cure her. It might not.

You SHOULD hate yourself for thinking that “Gov’t stepping in” on something EVER had a good result.

Do Something!!!” Even if it makes a mess, but we’ll feel better cuz we tried.

Tell her to go to the hospital and demand some of that free universal health care everybody is getting. Have her get some for me too.

I sent my CPA a copy of the portion of the bill mandating that all companies will have to 1099 ALL their suppliers in 2012 - the issue of whether they will have to withhold income taxes is still out. She - a Democrat - said she was surprised as she had “heard” nothing about it, how did it get enacted so fast and what was this doing as part of the healthcare bill. Democrats are totally clueless!

When the seed corn has been eaten, what do you do then?

We are broke, busted, no money. There is no bottomless pit of money that we can go grab and make this scheme work. They can seize the 401K, but again it is a short term fix that will run dry.

Socialism is viable as long as there are producers producing wealth. The socialists can continue as long as the host doesn’t die. The actions of this administration have been monomaniac-ly shutting down the producers and creators. Wealth creation isn’t happening. The host will be sucked dry.

There won’t BE any companies to foot the bill. They will be GONE!

meaning you can just pay the fine until you get sick and they buy a policy since they aren’t allowed to reject you....

this is my interpretation. is this the correct interpretation?

I have heard but cannot confirm that insurance companies who deny coverage have to pay a $100/day fine. If true this would give them the de-facto option to deny coverage and pay the fine, since hospitalization can run far more than $100/day. This would achieve two things: a growing revenue stream for the gubbermint, and stories to provoke public outrage to aid their push for single payer.
