Sarah Palin: "I support Michael Steele ... I think he's doing a great job. Michael Steele is an outsider. The machine, I think, is tough to penetrate -- I think it's been good to have an independent outsider trying to create some change in the Republican Party."

"Michael Steele is an outsider." "Mole" would be a more accurate description.

In my book Steele is a non factor. Sarah is and The Tea Party and us conservatives are. The RNC is yesterdays news!!!

Golly Sarah.
Do you also then agree with his FUNDAMENTALLY off base and grossly inaccurate claim that blacks are still routinely discriminated against.
Are you good with him reflexively playing the race card whenever he is criticized on matters of pure policy

I really, really like Palin.
But I think she places too much emphasis on loyalty. I think Bush made the same mistake. Be loyal to those are are loyal to your principles. McCain and Steele do not deserve her loyalty. She's making a mistake here.
To: GregB
I absolutely love her to death (figuratively). I am entirely enthusiastic about the potential for her to lead us. However, her recent foray into stumping for Juan and now, with making excuses for Steele, disappoints me. It hasn’t gotten to the point of disillusionment, but one more strike might do it.

She is being turned. Not the next Reagan, then. Reagan was not one to attack fellow Republicans, so I disagree with that.

First it was John McCain. Now Michael Steele.
Is there any RINO she won’t suck up to?
To: ianschwartz
I support Michael Steele ... I think he's doing a great job. Michael Steele is an outsider The problem is that you don't WANT an "outsider" to run your political party. You want your outsiders to be "outside". You want the guy running the party to be the consumate professional, insider, take-a-bullet-for-the-party kind of guy. Not a "they hate me because I'm black" kind of guy.
To: wtc911
This will be the pattern till the Big election. I don’t care I am voting for her and I will have to be shot not to!!!!!!!!

careful the “Palin can do no wrong crowd” will crucify you for daring to post something that may put Palin in a poor light.

She understands the forces that are trying to further the GOP split. The turnaround of the GOP must be done carefully.

In one sense Steele was right — blacks still have to prove themselves, because 30 years of affirmative action have convinced most of us that blacks aren’t qualified for their jobs, until they prove it.
Obama certainly has lived up to that rule.
To: ianschwartz
I think she’s wrong ...
... but, I need not agree with every word she utters to support her inevitable candidacy.
