DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY. The same reason no charges are filed when an American embassy employee in an Arab country is caught drinking alcohol in public, even though the masses are clamoring for him to get the same harsh treatment a random local guy would get.

I posted this on another thread. In case there ends up being more to the story, I am posting here. The info conflicts with other reports that Al-Madadi just went to the bathroom and lit up a smoke.

So do I. One passenger gave an interview shortly after the “incident” and reported that Al-Madadi was going back and forth to the bathroom “multiple times.” A flight attendant spoke to him, but he did not stop his visits to the bathroom. It was then that the flight attendant notified the air marshal, who then confronted Al-Madadi.
To my knowledge this passenger (Steve Cantrill) was only interviewed by one reporter. I have not seen his account printed anywhere else.
I posted several excerpts from this article shortly after the story hit the press last night, but the post was pulled due to copyright restrictions. I saved the article, but the link now displays an entirely different updated article on Al-Madadi and the subsequent actions taken by officials.
So...there does appear to be more to the story...but what?

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. There are also multiple spellings of his name that the media is spreading around to confuse anyone digging into the info. I am curious how or why that is happening. The media was still doing it last night and today, even though his name had become known..spelling and all. My guess is that this Qatar punk has had multiple contacts with Holder and his old law firm(the terrorists defenders) or something along those lines.

Very interesting report. Sounds like the punk knew that Holder would be on ‘his side’ before they even touched down. Also sounds like some cracks are forming in the FBI/DOJ between Holderite appeasers and patriots.
Putting somebody on a direct flight is heck of lot better way to make sure they go where you’re sending them, than a train or bus than makes multiple stops and/or requires transfers. And I’m sure he was “escorted” on that flight.
Don’t take the public statements of officials at face value on this sort of thing (i.e. the “he’s free to go” statement that some US official made). More likely, he was “free” to get on one specific flight, which would also be carrying a US law enforcement official and/or an extremely annoyed Qatari Embassy official (whose regular activities had been interrupted by a sudden order to fly to Denver and escort moron-boy back to DC), and was “free” to either use the restroom in the terminal prior to departure or to hold it until arriving inside the terminal at Reagan National. What he was officially “free” to do and what he was actually “free” to do were (and are) two very different things.
He is now “free” to get on the specific Qatar Airways flight that his embassy bosses tell him to get on, go home to Qatar, and get lost. If, as I suspect, he got this US posting in the first place because he’s the son of some mildly significant business or government figure (God knows he didn’t get it because of his intelligence and maturity), he’s also likely to find that his new allowance from
Daddy will come with some unpleasant strings attached, which he’ll be hard-pressed to turn down due to his unemployability.
