You were pretty quick to condem US troops the other day. How about now with the context and video PROVING they guys were armed and firing at US troops. Wikileaks conveniently edited this part out.

But of course US troops just have to be to blame.

Don't understand the reason for your post... are you implying that Wikileaks was trying to hide or misrepresent something by releasing an edited version of the video?

FYI, they released the 17 minute long edited version and the unedited 39 minute long version at the same time (5/5/10) & place (National Press Club/Youtube).

There are hundreds of such examples of photo manipulation by the Soviets (as well as the Chicoms, Castro Communists, North Vietnamese Communists, and Nazis).

Often as figures fell out of favor with The Party, they were simply painted out of the historical record.

There are a couple of books about it.

Making People Disappear: An Amazing Chronicle of Photographic Deception by Alain Jaubert

Is much better than The Commissar Vanishes: The Falsification of Photographs and Art in Stalin's Russia by David King:

Which covers much of the same ground but omits the chapter exposing these tactics as used by the Cuban Communists, Vietnamese Communists, etc. Communists who are still loved by the Left.

There is also this book which even covers digital manipulations including the techniques used by the CIA to determine which photos are false
