Do you believe that any obviously unlawful order issued by the President would be passed on to the troops? My lengthy military experience tells me “No.”

Good grief. Frank Marshal Davis was a card-carrying Communist who worked for Stalin. And you’re wrong on all the other counts as well.

In fact, if I were still on Active Duty and selected to be a member of the court and the defense had nothing to offer to refute Lafkin’s violation of the UCMJ, my secret written ballot would contain the word “Guilty.”

And you’d be CORRECT in your verdict, thereby giving him Injury and allowing his attorney to file for a quo warranto hearing in Federal Court.

You’d actually be helping Lt Col Lakin and serving your nation with honor.

LOL. You still don't get what this is really all about, do you?

Go back and read Post 493, as it may answer some of your questions.

IF you’re a Lib in Conservative's clothing — and there’s a LOT of that in this threadit will undoubtedly drive you BONKERS seeing a comparison drawn between Lt Col Lakin's case and Rosa Parks.

I looked at your link. It mentions Obama's associations with Ayers and Wright, neither of whom is a Communist, and to call either of them his "mentor" is quite a bit of a stretch, to say the least.

Bill Ayers was a leftwing anarchist, not a Marxist. There's a difference. Furthermore, to call him bambi's "mentor" is a bit of a stretch given that they didn't work together until he was an adult, and even then the extent of their collaboration was rather limited.

They sat together on the board of a nonpolitical, nonprofit organization, and Ayers held some Obama fundraisers at his house. To say that makes him a mentor seems rather silly to me.

As to Wright, he's a black liberationist. While undoubtedly influenced by Marxism, black liberation theology isn't the same thing as Marxism. In fact, the central tenants of of Black liberation theology are antithetical to Marxism. That doesn't make it any less dispicable or less dangerous; just different.

I'd also say that the extent to which you can call Wright Obama's "mentor" is rather questionable. True, Obama was a member of his Church. The fact that he chose to join a Church that preaches such insidious doctrine is, of course, very alaraming and speaks very ill of his character.

Still, I don't think you can assume that just because Wright was Obama's pastor that he was his mentor. I would suspect few people who attend Church would describe their pastor as their mentor. I certainly wouldn't call my pastor my mentor.

No kidding this “curiosity” lost ALL credibility with that diatrible of absolute nonsense. A corpratist? Not a communist,

If I lost my credibility with the ignorant who are so poorly read that they don't even understand the difference between communism and corporatism, I'll wear it as a badge of honor.

I find the anti-intellectual attidute of so many on this thread to be really frightening.

The onus of deciding which orders are legal orders, since the US v. Calley, is on the officer. Failing to question the order is the dereliction.

Just because a whole bunch of people decided the orders were legal doesn’t make them right. That’s how 6MM Jews got exterminated in Germany.

He’s got standing. The question is whether he has a case.

Okay. What specificly about Obama's policy proposals or governing ideology indicates to you that he's a communist rather than a social democratic corporatist?

You look at the totality of people bammie has surrounded himself with and still chose to defend him, or at least appear to.

Bammie may not meet the classic definitions of socialist/communist/marxist/fascist but he certainly takes certain aspects of each and combines them into his own brand of obamunism.

For you to nit pick each definition and conclude he is not any one in the classic sense is to ignore what he is, i.e. defend him.

But unlike every other case decided to date, it would seem that this officer actually has an indisputable standing to sue.

During the Vietnam War, the U.S. Supreme Court held that soldiers being sent to Vietnam did not have standing to challenge the constitutional validity of the war.

Yeah right, besides marrying bammie to the wookie, baptizing his kids and listening to him for 20 years, nothing to see here.

You are bordering on delusional.
