There is no comparison. If you can’t see the huge difference between a state deciding what is best for its own citizens and the federal government shoving a one-size-fits all approach down the throats of the whole country then you be dumb.

Ah, so because a state forces it citizens to buy health insurance, it's OK, but not OK for the feds to require the same?

Only a Mittwitt could come to that conclusion. With car insurance, there is an impact on someone if you hit them with your car out on the road, so car insurance is protection for those around you. With health insurance, you are only looking at your own finances, so that analogy that the Mittwitts use fails utterly.

So even without Zerocare being in effect, “We The People” have been paying for the $50.00 abortions in Massachusetts thanks to Mittens Romney.

Maybe you would be so kind as to point out the errors in the article, then.

Why do you assume I am 'assuming' errors? My point was. . .NYT's prints nothing unfavorable about the current Party in power; and they seldom, if ever, print anything unfavorable re the useful idiots who facillitated the travesty. Republican politcs so much more interesting. . .did give me pause as to just who their favortie Repub might be. . .

That said. . .nothing to see, you can move on.

Well, in this case, Mitt IS being a two-faced weasel on health-care reform, so the NYT has it right - Mitt handed the NYT the hammer to hit him with. The GOP lost amnesty as a campaign issue when they nominated McCain in 2008 - they had better not make the same kind of mistake by nominating Mitt and taking health care deform off the table as a campaign issue in the process.

The RNC is seriously looking at Salt Lake City as the site for Convention in 2012. If Romney is the nominee, the child sex abuse scandals involving Mormons will be the #1 issue in 2012. The media will make it so.

It’s my understanding that Romney vetoed 8 or 9 of the legislatures provisions. Yep, when the citizens elect an 85-90% liberal legislature, they get what they deserve — and, apparently, want.

He who walks in the middle of the highway takes the added risk of being hit by traffic in BOTH directions.

So tell us why, then, that Romney continues to praise it if it was all the fault of the legislature.

I don't know for sure, without doing some research (which I have no time or desire to do), but I think I heard him tell Hannity that they got @ 100% of their citizens insured without raising taxes and without sticking it to the seniors (and Obamacare will do both and then some). I've also heard him say (repeatedly) that it's not perfect and needs continuous tweaking, but is a lot better than what they had originally.

Still, even excluding those differences mentioned above, my original post stands - state's rights vs. federal government takeover = huge difference. What is good for MA won't be good for GA etc....
