I have not felt this apprehensive since I was a child during the Cuban Missle Crisis.
I could say the same except I was a child living on a military base in the south east during the Cuban Missile Crisis...

***********************

We were at Camp Pendleton. Our bags were packed and lined along the hallway. If the balloon went up, my dad was going to go to one of the bunkers, but he promised to call and indicate that he was being so assigned; we would grab the bags and leave the house.

I have found it impossible to convey to sheeple what the cold war was really like.

Both of my parents died just a few years ago. I still grieve for those two incredily strong and resourceful people, but I take comfort that neither of them lived to see the scum in power today.

At least Pendelton was out of range of Cuba. Odds are you'd have had an hour or so before the Russians got their poop in a group and launched their home based missiles.

Yeah. It's all 'Spy Vs Spy' fun and games to them, on the rare occasions you can even get them to think about it.

Reagan presided over a victory so total the entire war has been forgotten.
