He can’t win by snubbing the people who got him elected in the first place. This is precisely why the GOP in general is in such a shambles right now. They turned their backs on their Conservative roots. I was hoping that people like Scott Brown had finally learned this lesson. Apparently, my hopes were too high.

Senator Scott Brown will get the political response he deserves.

This is MA we are talking about. Martha Coakley, who was probably the candidate for US Senate and ran the worst campaign ever, got almost IIRC 1 million votes( I will verify that). I do think Brown is making a mistake but I get why

okay, so some paper says Brown is snubbing Teaparty therefore it must be so and we have to agree this is a snub.

Sarah Palin (right now) has extremely high unfavorables in New England, especially among women, and especially especially among independent women.

This group constitutes 50+% of the electorate everywhere in the six New England states, except in Hartford, Boston, etc where Democrats still predominate.

Scott Brown discovered a way to win by mobilizing this bloc. Making nice with their public enemy #1 makes no sense for him, especially since he's not a national candidate AND, by separating from the dreaded "teabaggers" he boosts his own standing among the independents he really needs.

You dance with the guy that brung you. Scott Brown was elected by New England independents, he's staked out a position as far to the right from them as he can and still keep their trust, and Our Lady of Wasilla would be a bridge too far for him.

While I am somewhat pleased that Brown won the seat (just to spite the enemyP, I am glad he did so without a contribution from me. He will always disappoint, I predict.
