Former congressman talks about U.N., gun ownership.
BY JEFF STAHLA
As Tom Tancredo looked out to about 450 attendees of the Loveland 912 Project meeting Tuesday in Loveland, he thanked one man: John McCain.
Because McCain lost the 2008 presidential election, the former Republican congressman said, individuals have been mobilized to hold back the changes they see coming.
Hes a squish; hes a liberal Republican, he said.
While the changes to the country would not have been as fast as they have been under President Barack Obama, the changes would have come nonetheless.
If McCain had been elected,
there would be no 912 movement, there would be no Tea Party movement, he said.

Tom Tancredo is a good guy. McCain is a Democrat.
I don’t know what a 912 movement is but I expect Rick Santelli would still have initiated the ‘tea party’ with a speech against any presumed bailouts that McCain would have proposed.
912, the day after 911. Beck started this movement at about the same time the Tea Party movement started.
On an completely irrelevant side note: I grew-up in Loveland.

Tom Tancredo pulled out of the presidential race yesterday and endorsed Mitt Romney
Said by the guy who voted for over $700 billion of TARP.
Not impressed.
Yes he did. That was a big disappointment to me.
Beck as in ‘Glen Beck?’ I’ve heard of him but have not yet listened to his show.
Where is Loveland?
Yes Glen Beck, his show is good the first 3 or 4 times you hear it. Then you figure out he is really all about self promotion and maybe a little light on his medication.
Loveland is up against the foothills on the eastern slope in northern Colorado. 45 miles north of Denver and just south of Fort Collins.
Go Tanc Go....and yes McCain is a Liberal....he never met a border he could not keep open
he is really all about self promotion
....yeaaaaah, sure cowchip... there’s more patriotic americana dispensed in one hour of Beck’s show than you’ve thought about in the last 20 years. You’re quite the cable critic (muffled gaffaws)
