If that was the case, I think he would tell people. He isn't in enough control of his mouth to be able to keep that a secret. O'Reilly arrogantly believes he is right on the eligibility issue and he is the type of person who can not change his mind.
It is possible, he will gradually modify his views, but he will always believe he was right - even if his new views are opposite of his old.
I used to like and watch him, but I tired of his creepiness.

O'Reilly has told people.
He's stated the theory that Obama is just playing with his opponents to make them look bad.
The only thing: O'Reilly purports this to be his own theory - not that Obama dropped it on him.
