Does anyone know if it is possible to investigate the flight manifests of airliners coming out of Kenya in 1961?

Just asking....

AFAIK, our conclusion is that the airlines wouldn’t let a 9 month pg Ann board nor would they allow a newborn fly. Ann’s friend Susan Blake (Botkin) said that Ann had sent her a postcard from a ship. FR is thinking The Black Star Line but that company has gone out of business so not much luck finding manifests from there. Check out:

No real reason to keep those for so long. Entry and exit information from Immigration/Customs OTOH might still be around, since the government keeps everything forever.

Of course there would be no record of a young woman with a baby arriving in a car from Canada, if the car had US plates they'd just wave it on through, and it's only 2 1/2 to 3 hours drive from Vancouver BC to Mercer Island, WA. There might not be any record of any US Citizen re-entering the country, even on a plane or a boat. Probably would be of non-national like BHO Sr.

flight manifests can be found at Natl Archives, the microfiche of them is scattered throughout the US.
