after a group of Tea Party members harassed him and the insurance giant over a private voicemail the actor left for FreedomWorks An act of public protest is somehow a "private voicemail"?
No the only thing he can claim is that he didn't do it on company time. What a chump

Career-limiting moves: They’re so easy, even a...GEICO spokesman...can make them.

Well isn’t that special? I bet Geico loves the fact that he used their “mascott” in the attack.
If I were in advertising I would certainly exclude this guy from any future spots.

When you’re a public figure, and the public face (or voice) of a company ... using your private citizenship to slam a large portion of the customer base can threaten your job.
Use better judgment next time.

telling their members to harass my employer to get me fired is an egregiously disproportionate response to my actions.

Racism and homophobia are my Achilles heal...”

Yo uber prick:
“Racism” has nothing to do with the Tea Party Movement. Absolutely nothing. But then the vast majority of those that hurl the incredibly tired and shopworn “racism” accusation, have absolutely no understanding of the word’s true meaning.
Regarding “homophobia”. Exactly what is that? Most conservatives are totally against the mainstreaming of perversion, but don’t feel that queers should be held criminally liable for their behavior. Additionally, none of us fear fags per se, we just resent the acquiescence to the extremely marginal view that a sick behavior that has been shunned over 5000 years of human history, is now in the “enlightened” progressive view, suddenly perfectly acceptable, even a badge of honor.
