Senators postpone climate bill unveiling (Don't just "postpone" it, kill it!)

Monday's unveiling of a compromise Senate climate bill was postponed on Saturday, Democratic Senator John Kerry said, after a dispute arose over unrelated immigration reform legislation.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said earlier on Saturday he would have to pull out of the bipartisan climate change effort because of concerns Democrats would push forward with a debate on immigration reform, rather than the climate change bill, in the Senate.

Kerry said he hoped to keep working for passage of a climate bill.

He said that after more than six months of detailed meetings with Graham and independent Senator Joseph Lieberman, "we believe that we had reached" an agreement on the details of a bill to reduce smokestack emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases associated with global war

This can only be interpreted to mean that amnesty is priority one now. They know they are limited to how much they can get done before November. My hope is that they can’t get anything done.

I do not have a good feeling about this one. Too many Republicans want it too badly. They know that AGW is a fraud now but they want the carbon controls and all that goes with that too much. They are just as much about centralized tyranny as are the Social Democrats.

I heard Savage last night praising Lieberman as a real stand up guy who is great for America. Lieberman is great on combating external threats but that is probably just because he doesn’t want to share the Social Democrats’ prospective total power in the richest country on earth with foreigners. On things domestic he is just as much a fascist as Reid and Pelosi.

For all you people criticizing Light-in-the-Loafers Lindsey, allow me to post a few facts:

1) he’s been repudiated and ostracized by a number of county republican organizations in SC

2) he has a platoon-size security force composed of traitors, mercenaries and imbeciles

3) he’s very afraid but doesn’t have the G-2 to realize it

Their was a story last week in which Reid had quietly polled the senate democrats and could only muster 28 Yes votes for Cap’n Tax. I think they’ve pretty much given it up as a lost cause during this election year, but are keeping it in the news to placate the Al Gore crowd.

In the last 16 months, this Congress has passed over 8000 bills.

That is an average of over 500 a month.

How can they possible read & understand what they are forcing upon the electorate?

With November looming, they seem to be speeding up the printing presses to operate even faster.

Impossible for any member to read & understand the bill——which is exactly what NObama/Reid/Pelosi want.

I think that anyone who votes on a bill they have not read & don’t understand should be fined $1 million for each vote and serve 5 years in prison for each vote.

Quite a few Dems are not in favor of this bill.

They're getting a LOT of flak over this from their states.
