Congressional Candidate Becomes First In Nation To Propose National Mirror of Arizona Law

Congressional candidate Tom Garcia, a former Commander and aviator in the United States Navy running in Florida's 24th congressional district, has become the first congressional candidate to propose federal legislation that would implement the recently passed Arizona immigration laws nationwide.

In a press release today, Commander Garcia stated the following:

As a proud American of Hispanic Heritage, it is clear to me that citizenship is a national treasure and one that should not be given out freely to those who trespass on our national sovereignty. I am particularly offended by those who are calling Arizona's Immigration bill SB 1070 a bill of racism or racial profiling. I would ask these individuals to actually read the bill. Nowhere in the bill is profiling of any kind referred to or allowed. This bill simply puts an end to local governments tying the hands of law enforcement officers.

Tom Garcia is by far the best GOP candidate anywhere in the State of Florida and should be considered "the one to watch."

IMHO Arizona just mimicked Federal law. All that needs to happen is just enforce the present law. Also build the fence.

If the Feds don’t step in and do this and do it now, it means that they don’t want to do anything. It’s not that hard to do. If they put it off, this whole thing could go viral across the states. People are tired of the delay tactics by the government.

Obama will only have the class warfare card to use against him. Can’t throw the race card at him though.

Arizona DID NOT IMPLEMENT these laws, the US GOVERNMENT IN WASHINGTON DID

Arizona is just choosing to enforce the laws with state resources, since washington wont do it.

Yes, building the fence was one “shovel-ready” project that would have been worthwhile.

Obama spends the money on looking into and then fighting the bill rather than putting up a fence.

Can’t we really try him for Treason??? I have not seen one thing that he has done that is not against the constitution. How infiltrated is our government or supposed separate branches of government. No checks and balances at all.

The libs are presently protesting that a state cannot enact such a law - that’s for the (worthless, idiotic, felonous) feds to do.

Now if he could get the congress critters to pass such a law, the libs would say that the congress cannot force states to do such things.

Gads, it’s fun to watch libs wallow in their slime - headed by the Porker in Chief - the Obamaloon.

It’s very rare that state candidates and candidates from other parts of the state get involved in another race. Tom Garcia came down here and shored up the support of Yomin Postelnik (Florida House 91) who’s been helping his campaign ever since and also that of Bernard Sansaricq who’s challenging Alcee Hastings. The three of them started the Haitian relief (to rebuild there), tough immigration enforcement, coastal monitoring of our shores, fiscal prudence and growth strategies and a return to age old values. I see good things happening in ‘10.

Probably not. But we could sue him and the federal government to force them to enforce the border to protect ‘endangered species’ that are being destroyed by the invasion.

Attorney fees are even paid to you by the government under an ESA provisions...which is why the envirofreaks are always suing & WINNING to force the feds to protect some bug or fish.

I’m dead serious.
