The Venezuelan Attorney Generals Office said it is investigating the death of a U.S. Catholic priest whose body was found with stab wounds Thursday morning inside a parish house in the eastern state of Bolivar.
The Rev. Esteban Woods, 68, of Vancouver, Washington, had been serving as a priest in Venezuela for eight years and was currently the pastor of the Holy Family Church of Puerto Ordaz, the AG office said in a communique.
We found him gagged and stabbed on the floor of his room, the pastor of the Our Lady of Coromoto Church, the Rev. Miguel Angel Garcia, told Union Radio.
There are many stories, but we cant talk about any of them in particular until the security entities give the results after the (investigative activities) scheduled in this case, said Garcia.
According to official information about him, Woods had been in the service of the Catholic Church for more than 23 years and had fulfilled different roles in Venezuela, including vicar of the parish of Santa Cruz and chaplain of the Instituto Pedagogico in Caracas.
They are probably not investigating, they are more likely to have been involved these days.
Eternal rest...
I see commies are back to killing priests just like they killed Father Popieluszko.
There are many stories, but we cant talk about any of them in particular until the security entities give the results after the (investigative activities) scheduled in this case, said Garcia.
Gov't imposed gag order? Hugo's 'security entities' will get to the bottom of this. 10 to 1 Rev. Esteban Woods said or did things to piss off the regime. But don't malign Hugo by calling him a 'thug'. (/sarc)
Venezuels is fast becoming Satan’s Land.
Martyr. Witness to Christ’s love for everyone.
Second.
Chavez’s soulless Marxist henchmen no doubt committed this sickening crime.
