DC Building Evacuated Due to "Suspicious Package"

Washington DC's Thomas Circle has been shut down because of a suspicious package. As I write, cop cars are surrounding the traffic circle, located just a half-mile north of the White House, and the area is blocked off by yellow police tape.
While the cops declined to comment on the situation, I spoke to somebody who works in one of the affected buildings, and she told me that around 10:30 am, an announcement came across the PA system instructing everybody that they had to evacuate because of a suspicious package.

Hey, you don’t know it was jihad! Maybe it was the..ummm...Amish. Yeah, that could be it. Those Amish are nasty when you make fun of their horse and buggies! Or maybe it was the shaolin monks finally getting fed up with how they are portrayed in bad karate movies?
The thing that gets me - mostly mad, partly funny - is that you can GUARANTEE that the first words we hear from Obama will be all about how Islam is a religion of peace and is no better or worse than any other religion.
The enemy tries to attack us and without doubt our leader will praise them for being peaceful. It’s completely backwards, isn’t it?

CRAP! We are being set up for a "national emergency" excuse to either call out the "civilian defense force" to defend the polls, or call off the election completely in November.
Prepare the population ahead of time to react to these scare tactics and acquiesce to government intervention.

All of D.C. has come to a grinding halt, there are snipers on roofs, and CNN is reporting several bus loads of men in moon suits are pulling up to the building, as blackhawk helicopters fly overhead...Thousands of those forced to evacuate are running hysterically through the streets away from the building...

The "Suspicious Package" was a copy of the Constitution. At first the Democratic leadership was confused about what it was. After it's contents were explained to them, they were outraged that someone (no doubt a dangerous teabagger) would dare to bring such a dangerous item to DC and that the police failed to stop it.
Napolitano said "this time the system failed. We MUST do a better job of protecting the citizens of this country."
